In Matthew 28 Jesus tells us to "go ... and make disciples of all nations." We believe that this is a mandate for believers everywhere. For us, it means that we must contend for the entire nation of Uganda, and that, as "crazy" impossible as it might seem, discipling a nation is a "do-able" proposition.
The Golokwara Children's Center is part of God's answer to reversing deeply entrenched patterns of injustice, corruption and poverty. By raising children in a healthy environment, and discipling them in principles of integrity, honor and love, Golokwara Children's Center will become part of the solution to the problems that plague the nation of Uganda.
We believe that those that go out from our center will become a strong voice for change, and become leaders with a different spirit and mind set. We believe that they will, in turn, win, and influence others.
We stand on God's promise in 2 Chronicles 7.14: "If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."
This verse was the theme at our prayer conference on the land in 2013 when over 600 political leaders and pastors gathered for 5 days. We led in reconciliations between tribes, repenting for war, innocent bloodshed, rape, trauma, drunkenness and witchcraft. It's a theme we continue to carry to the many conferences we hold every year throughout Uganda. God is moving in the nation of Uganda. These conferences are also part of His purpose in establishing the Children's Center.
Stand with us and believe that real change is possible in Uganda as we who have been given the Name above all Names, bow low, seek Him, and turn from our wicked ways. It is then that He will heal the land from the stain of witchcraft, massacres, and broken covenant. It is then that He will break the cycles of systematic poverty, corruption and injustice, and the land will rest.
