The Golokwara Children's Center will be completely self-sustaining within the first five years of operation.
We have begun farming the land and raising animals, but we will also launch several other small business initiatives which will support the needs of the center and also give the children and youth valuable experience in developing and operating businesses.
Some of the proposed small business initiatives include: 1) The preparation, packaging and exportation of baked goods, dry fruits, coffee, tea and other agricultural products. 2) Renting motorcycles and small vehicles. 3) Plowing and planting services. 4) Transportation services. 5) Tire and automobile repair services. 6) Building trades and repair services. 7) Carpentry 8) Hardware, dry goods and clothing stores. 9) Animal husbandry 10) Additional cash crop farming.
